What is the Disability Employment Network?


The Disability Employment Network (DEN) is a network of specialist employment services supporting people with disabilities to get work in the open labour market.


DEN members provide a range of specialist services individually tailored to meet your employment needs.


Services include:


  • help to prepare for work, including training in specific job skills
  • job search support, such as resume development, interview skills training and help to look for suitable jobs

  • on the job support and training and support for co-workers and employers

  • ongoing job support as required


Who can use DEN?


A Job Seeker is referred to the DEN Programme if they:


  • have a permanent (or likely to be permanent) disability
  • have a reduced capacity for communication, learning or mobility
  • require support for more than 6 months after placement in employment, and/or
  • require specialist assistance to build their capacity to meet participation requirements.

DEN also provides help for people with disabilities in who are likely to lose their job as a result of their disability.
