Aimed at assisting youth who are at risk of disengaging from education and learning, facing multiple barriers making employment difficult, or dealing with personal and social issues in their lives, isaskills is able to provide support and guidance to help youth get back on track.

The recreation center aims to assist the Mount Isa community, disadvantaged youth, the Mount Isa Basketball Association (MIBA) and other sporting groups.

The Multi-Purpose Recreation Center (MIMPRC) provides assistance to;
basketball development (senior, junior, promotion, sport), youth services (sport and recreation, health and fitness, support) and facility usage
- other sports (e.g. netball, indoor soccer (futsal), dancing), schools, facility maintenance, requested events (e.g. fight nights, dances etc.).

The stadium complex houses two basketball courts, conference room, bar and canteen, which are available for hire at competitive prices. Stadium seating overlooks the polished wooden basketball court.

The facility also includes spacious grounds, offices, team change rooms, hot showers and sporting equipment. Ongoing basketball and futsal competitions are held at the centre, with potential for other sports including volleyball, netball and badminton. The venue is also suitable for discos, training courses and other events.

Court hire, per court, per hour:

$25 for schools or not-for-profit organisations.

$30 for profitable organisations or private use.

$35 for night-hire with lights.

Hire of conference room, bar or canteen costs $20 per hour.
