The objectives for which the Association is established are:

• To encourage the community to assist local unemployed people, particularly those unemployed for twelve months or more, and other most disadvantaged people, to develop their capacity for obtaining and retaining employment or to proceed to further education or training the provision of skills training, employment related assistance (including personal support and referral) and enterprise activities.



• To assess, undertake and engage in Enterprise activities, projects and training programs which offer unemployed people the opportunity to be more able to support themselves, improve their employability and support themselves while developing closer links with the community.



• To seek and undertake the involvement and placement of unemployed people in the activities, training programs and projects of the Association.



• To seek the involvement of the community including business, individuals, local government bodies, education and training institution, employment agencies and youth organizations in the Association and its projects and activities.



• To seek grants and other financial assistance from the Commonwealth and State Government and from other sources for the purpose of the Association.
